Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments, health teaching, and care documentation before, during, and after fluoroscopy-guided procedures such as epidurals, radio frequency ablation, and nerve blocks. Monitor vital signs, pain, and symptoms while providing emergency assistance, IV skills, and radiation safety protocol adherence. Assist physicians and MRT personnel in maintaining sterile fields and performing PRP preparation. Educate patients and families on procedures and post-care instructions, then document all nursing care in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals while participating in quality improvement initiatives and mentoring new staff.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or equivalent provincial
- Current Professional Liability program certificate
- BLS
- Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience
- IV and venipuncture skills
- Willingness to work in other clinics as required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a clinic managing adverse events and /or hospital emergency setting
- At least 6 months of experience in a fluoroscopy or interventional radiology setting
- BScN
- Experience in fluoroscopy-guided procedures
- Strong clinical background
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Hands-on experience supporting fluoroscopy-guided diagnostics and interventions
