Job Summary

Fluids Systems Engineer for Solar Cell Factory (Starlink) responsible for designing, building, and optimizing fluid/gas/chemical delivery and exhaust systems for solar cell fabrication in SpaceX’s Starlink program. Responsibilities include cradle-to-grave project ownership, modular system design for scalable production, P&ID development, equipment sizing, thermal/fluid analysis, safety/hazard assessments (FMEAs, HAZOPs), data acquisition and control system deployment, integration with manufacturing equipment, and ensuring regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, ASME, SEMI). Collaboration across facilities operations, EHS, automation, and procurement; tracking performance metrics and contributing to continuous improvement; ability to travel and lift 25 lbs as needed; ITAR requirements apply. Basic qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 1+ year of hands-on experience; additional preferred qualifications include advanced deg, process safety certification, and experience with cleanroom fluid systems and software tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, aerospace engineering, or other engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of hands-on build or design experience (internship, club, and competition team experience qualifies)
