Job Summary
Assemble, install, and plumb hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, actuators, manifolds, tubing, and piping according to engineering drawings. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to guide assembly and testing. Perform system commissioning, functional verification, and troubleshooting using diagnostic equipment to ensure equipment meets performance requirements. Diagnose malfunctions, repair or replace components such as seals, fittings, and control devices, and conduct preventive maintenance to maximize reliability. Collaborate with engineers and machine builders to resolve technical challenges and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities. Follow all safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout requirements, and provide technical guidance to less experienced personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Fluid Power Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Mechanical Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience working with industrial hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Strong understanding of fluid power principles, including pressure, flow, force, and control
- Proven ability to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and technical drawings
- Experience with pumps, valves, cylinders, manifolds, regulators, filters, proportional controls, and related fluid power components
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment such as pressure gauges, flow meters, multimeters, and other testing instruments
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mechanical diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Basic computer skills and experience using software for documentation and diagnostics
- Must successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check
- Must be able to work onsite in Holland, MI
