Job Summary
Oversee daily production, safety, and quality operations for the Dryer department, including leading staff, monitoring machine performance, and conducting quality checks to verify finished product accuracy. Troubleshoot operational issues, ensure compliance with GMPs and food safety standards, and train team members while promoting a positive work environment. Step into key leadership duties when the Shift Supervisor is absent. Requires strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, 4+ years in dairy manufacturing, and training in confined space, pasteurization, and HACCP. Wage range $25.00-$31.00/hour plus shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to understand the goals and objectives set by supervision
- Ability to operate or have a strong understanding of a majority of the equipment in the Fluid Plant
- Professional and effective communication and organizational skills
- Good understanding of the policies, processes and products manufactured throughout the department
- Demonstrate the Qualified Individuals responsibilities for Preventative Controls
- Expected to complete confined space operations training
- Expected to complete pasteurization training
- Expected to complete HACCP training
- Has led by example in all areas of safety, quality, and efficiency as an operator
- Minimum of 4 years dairy manufacturing experience
- 2 years in the Fluid Shipping & Receiving experience
