Job Summary
Hybrid Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer consultancy role requiring applying fluid mechanics and thermal analysis to real client problems. You’ll analyse fluid flow, heat transfer, and thermal performance across engineering systems, use CFD or 1D modelling tools to understand complex flow fields, and deliver crisp technical reports, presentations, and client-facing proposals. You’ll work within multidisciplinary teams, engage with clients to tailor capability, and may lead small work packages over time. The role supports development toward Chartered Engineer/Fellow accreditation and involves a mix of office and home-based work in the UK, with duties spanning technical analysis, modelling, bid support, and capability development.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong technical judgement and communication skills
- Experience using CFD or 1D modelling tools for fluid flow and heat transfer analyses
- Ability to interpret and explain modelling outputs and provide clear recommendations
- Client-facing deliverables and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening and satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting
