Job Summary
Manage the flower crew to ensure daily operations run smoothly, overseeing harvest, arrangement, and stocking of flowers at the Morning Glory Farm Stand. Direct staff on seeding, propagation, cultivation, and harvesting tasks while conducting daily farm inspections to monitor plant conditions, pests, and livestock. Provide supervision, training, and support to the crew, handling schedule management, payroll adjustments, and disciplinary reporting. Maintain all farm equipment and facilities, including tractors, grow lights, and ventilation systems, setting a standard for tool care. Assist in producing and growing all flower crops and may work in the farm stand, kitchen, or pack house during slower months. Year-round full-time position at West Tisbury Flower Farm with an hourly wage of $17.00–$19.50, reporting to the Farm Manager and Owner.
Required Qualifications
- A background in Horticulture including equipment and maintenance knowledge
- Experience in cut flower farming and/or the floral industry and supervisory and management skills
- Solid communication and analytical skills
- Ability to be confidential
- Strong attention to detail
- Adaptable—thrives in a constantly changing work environment
- Enthusiastic, creative team member—able and willing to participate in community life
- Team player who can develop and manage a productive flower crew
