Job Summary
Implement a sales plan to achieve established financial goals by calling on prospective and current customers across academic, pharmaceutical, biotech, hospital, and CRO accounts. Manage assigned territory accounts while searching for new business and developing programs to expand influence. Resolve customer issues with technical personnel as needed and control sales expenses. Sell flow cytometry hardware and consumables to meet assigned quotas. This role covers the San Francisco and Nevada areas with 70% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Must live in the greater San Francisco area
- Bachelor's degree in Scientific field with 5+ years' experience
- Master's degree in a scientific field with 1+ years' experience
- Solid understanding of tactical sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, closing, and growing existing customers)
- practical experience and/or knowledge of flow cytometry equipment
- Highly motivated, success driven, with strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent time and territory management habits
- Ability to travel – 70% travel within territory and overnights
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CRM preferably SFDC, and Microsoft Office programs
