Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and implement instructional activities for the Flex High School Spanish program, identifying and modifying resources to meet diverse student needs. Assess curricular requirements, maintain efficient record-keeping, and communicate with students, parents, and internal professionals within established timelines. Collaborate with peers through team teaching, meetings, and staff development to enhance the instructional environment while modeling professional ethical standards. Establish cooperative relationships with schools and colleagues, meet specific course performance goals, and participate in research, presentations, and blended learning models that may include reporting to assigned school facilities.
Required Qualifications
- teaching certification issued by the State of Florida within the content area specified
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in content area assigned
- proof of active enrollment in a stated-approved EPI or MAT program AND either a valid Florida state-issued Statement of Eligibility OR valid Temporary Certificate in content area assigned
- Endorsements as required by Florida Department of Education
- Operational knowledge of the Internet and Web-related technologies
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn and apply all required and recommended FLVS computer applications
- demonstrated ability to successfully support the FLVS core competencies, values, and expectations for student-centered behaviors
- Occasional travel may be required to various schools as daily work locations, as well as lab visits, meetings, trainings, and conferences; assigned locations will vary, and may require overnight stays
