Florida Stormwater Practice Lead

Job Summary

Lead targeted business development to expand the firm's footprint in the local stormwater market by growing client relationships and participating in professional society activities. Collaborate with Stormwater Leads across the US to develop strategy for continued growth and innovation, while building a project delivery team in Florida. Manage planning and detailed design projects, including contract document production, hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, and report writing for stormwater management facilities such as pipelines, pump stations, and storage facilities. Work with engineering disciplines, designers, and scientists to support planning, design, and construction services. Some travel is required. This role supports a recognized, 100% employee-owned civil infrastructure consulting firm with full benefits and a sign-on bonus opportunity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental Engineering
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer
  • 10+ years of experience in Storm water / Water Resource engineering
  • 5 years of experience with client service and business development efforts, including project positioning, proposal preparation, interviews, and technical presentations
  • 5+ years in the planning and design solutions for urban stormwater management challenges
  • Strong design of Stormwater for municipal clients
  • Familiarity with standard stormwater analysis tools, including HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, ICM, FLO-2D, XPSWMM, ArcGIS, and Civil 3D
  • Experience working with Florida Water Management Districts

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (+)
