Job Summary
Florida Scholars Academy Instructor to provide educational instruction and support for at-risk students in residential facilities across Florida, delivering remediation, acceleration, and academic growth through highly effective digital learning on an intuitive online platform. Responsibilities include planning and implementing engaging instructional activities, selecting and adapting instructional resources for diverse learners, supervising students, maintaining attendance and discipline, assessing student progress and grading, counseling students on academic and behavioral progress, collaborating with supervisors and peers, communicating with students, parents/guardians, and stakeholders, modeling professional standards, and supporting blended online and in-person instruction across facilities. The role requires strong technology proficiency, effective classroom management, and the ability to meet school-wide performance goals while delivering student-centered outcomes. Travel to assigned facilities daily with potential for overnight travel as needed; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university
- Valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in content area assigned OR proof of active enrollment in a state-approved EPI or MAT program AND either a valid Florida state-issued Statement of Eligibility OR valid Temporary Certificate in content area assigned
- Exceptional Student Educational (ESE) Certification, preferred
- Gifted Endorsement, preferred
- English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Endorsement, preferred
- Reading Endorsement, preferred
