Job Summary
Florida-licensed psychiatrists (MD or DO) are urgently needed to conduct psychiatric and court-related evaluations for youth referred by the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). This on-site, 1099 contractor role involves performing psychiatric and diagnostic evaluations for DJJ-involved youth, reviewing medical and collateral records, and providing diagnostic opinions and treatment recommendations. Opportunities include evaluation-type variety and flexible scheduling; evaluations are conducted at DJJ facilities with no ongoing medication management required. Competitive per-evaluation compensation and administrative/clinical support are provided by Chrysalis Health.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Florida license as a Psychiatrist (MD or DO)
- Experience with psychiatric evaluations, forensic work, or juvenile populations preferred
- Ability to perform in-person evaluations
- Review medical, psychiatric, and collateral records
- Provide clear diagnostic opinions and treatment recommendations
- Conduct evaluations on-site at DJJ facilities (no ongoing medication management required)
- Strong diagnostic and documentation skills
