Job Summary
The Dean will provide executive leadership for the School of Business and Industry, advancing a bold agenda to improve national visibility, accreditation readiness (AACSB), and academic quality. Responsibilities include shaping strategic direction to enhance rankings and external partnerships, aligning curricula with accreditation standards, expanding experiential learning, internships, and industry engagement, and strengthening faculty development, governance, and resource stewardship. The role emphasizes strategic planning, budget management, fundraising, and external engagement to support student success and the School’s impact within a public HBCU context.
Required Qualifications
- An earned doctorate or terminal degree in business or a closely related discipline
- Senior academic leadership experience (Dean, Associate Dean, Chair, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated success in AACSB accreditation processes (preferred)
- Strategic planning and outcomes-based assessment
- Faculty leadership and development
- Budget management and resource generation
- Industry partnerships and external engagement
- Commitment to student success, academic excellence, and mission-driven leadership within a public HBCU context
