Job Summary
Oversee floral and indoor plant retail operations by supervising staff, managing merchandising, inventory, and product quality, and ensuring store cleanliness and safety. Provide daily direction through a participative management style, train employees on customer service, and step in to assist customers with flower arrangements when designers are unavailable. Perform administrative functions including scheduling, reviews, and timecards while managing store operations in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Work full-time hours with a variable schedule including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in retail supervisory or management capacity
- Good written and verbal communication skills demonstrated
- Good technical knowledge including POS, Windows and Excel
- Demonstrated strength in employee relations, problem solving and customer service
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- High energy level with the ability to provide strong leadership, train, delegate and motivate staff
- Personal documented history of exceptional performance at Bachman's and track record of supporting company management, policies and procedures
- Ability to work in variable weather conditions and on feet all day
- Dependable, responsible, and friendly
- Must be available holidays and for overtime, as needed
