Job Summary
Condition and install floral arrangements for daily, seasonal, and special events across the Foundation. Assist designers with material preparation, transport, and on-site maintenance while managing studio inventory and tracking prop locations. Deliver completed arrangements, monitor installations for required reinstallation, and coordinate seasonal projects with carpenters and temporary staff. Maintain cleanliness in the floral studio and cooler, perform routine delivery van maintenance checks, and transport borrowed items for events. This role supports the Floral Designer in preserving the historic capital's aesthetic standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Commonwealth of Virginia driver's license
- Acceptable driving record based on The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation's criteria
- Ability to provide a 5-year Motor Vehicle Record prior to employment
- At least 21 years of age
- No more than 1 moving violation or at fault accident within 12 months
- No more than 2 moving violations or at fault accidents within 36 months
- No serious motor vehicle violations including but not limited to excessive speeding, reckless driving, DUI/DWI, suspended or revoked license
- Ability to bend, stoop, walk and transport up to 50 pounds
- Ability to drive a panel van
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift for extended periods
- Manual dexterity
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under deadline with limited direction
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities

Desired Qualifications
- 3-6 months experience with a floral, nursery, or landscaping operations
- Interest/knowledge of floral and plant materials
