Job Summary
Lead Bear’s floral department by shaping the creative direction, developing floral concepts and offerings, and owning the processes, sales outreach, and team structure to elevate the floral business. Drive design quality, grow sales, build client confidence, mentor the floral team, and ensure operational excellence from proposal through event completion while overseeing profitability and vendor relationships. This senior role blends hands-on floral work with strategic leadership, including client-facing meetings, proposals, pricing, scheduling, and long-term department development.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional floral design experience
- experience leading floral design for events from concept through execution
- strong knowledge of floral mechanics, seasonality, stem performance, sourcing, substitutions, processing, installations, and event-day logistics
- experience pricing floral recipes, labor, hard goods, freelance support, and installation needs accurately
- demonstrated ability to manage floral orders, vendor relationships, production timelines, and quality control
- experience leading, training, or managing floral team members, freelancers, or production support
- strong client communication skills and confidence participating in sales conversations, creative presentations, and vendor/planner relationships
- ability to work independently while managing priorities across sales, design, production, and department development
- comfortable with physical demands of event floral work, including lifting, standing for extended periods, warehouse/studio work, and occasional weekend or evening event needs
- valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
