Floral Designer

Floral Designer at Hy-Vee creates floral arrangements at customer requests and fulfills merchandising needs, taking orders in person and by phone. Acts as a lead with the floral clerks, inventories products, ensures freshness, processes orders (FTD, Teleflora, interstore, and Internet), and supports customers by advising on plant and flower care, delivering friendly service, and assisting with in-store events. Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, wrapping flowers, meeting deadlines, and collaborating with store teams to maintain quality and customer satisfaction. Requires strong knowledge of floral products, care, and handling, plus ability to train and guide others. Education/experience: High School diploma or three years of related work experience. Physical ability to perform medium work and withstand store environments with potential holiday hours. Pre-employment drug screening is required.
