Floral Department Manager

Oversee the Floral Department in a Hy-Vee store, coordinating staffing and directing customer service, cleanliness, and profitability. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training and supervising department employees; processing FTD/Teleflora/interstore orders; determining weekly schedules and department goals; managing inventory, pricing, and ad projections; conducting displays and promotions; ensuring proper storage and temperature controls; maintaining department safety, hygiene, and dress standards; communicating with staff and customers; handling customer issues; and performing other department duties as needed. Must be able to learn and apply product knowledge, assist customers, and support store leadership. Education/Experience: High School or over three years of related work experience preferred. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and operating in a fast-paced retail environment. Drug screening required after employment.
