Job Summary
Receive and stock floral merchandise on shelves and displays, ensuring all product is fresh, rotated, well-stocked, and eye-appealing. Handle each customer transaction courteously, place special orders in person and over the phone, and design arrangements for all occasions while recording inventory usage. Order necessary variety, process deliveries under 18 restrictions, and rotate stock using a first-in-first-out policy to maintain quality control. Perform plant care maintenance, including watering and trimming, and change water for cut flowers on scheduled days. Monitor cooler and display cases for correct temperature, keep work areas clean and hazard-free, and participate actively in shrink control by tracking dumped or damaged product. Assist with daily inventory, inflate balloons, and decorate the department for current seasons.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age
- Must be self-motivated, able to work independently
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, with the ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work a schedule based on the business needs of the store location
- Authorized to work within the U.S.
