Job Summary
Greet clients on the sales floor, qualify them for appropriate products, and coordinate the sale of floor coverings including carpet, area rugs, hardwood, vinyl, laminate, and ceramic tile. Complete scaled diagrams, estimate costs and material requirements based on client floor plans, and manage the full sales process from estimating and closing to order placement, follow-up, and retention. Assist clients in designing custom rugs and coordinating bathroom or kitchen designs with paint and other finishes. This role serves retail customers, designers, builders, property management, and contractors.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be outgoing and have a desire to succeed
- Confidence in working both independently and in a team environment
- Highly organized & efficient in fast-paced multitasking environments
- able to prioritize effectively to accomplish objectives with creativity, enthusiasm and accuracy
- at least 6 months of sales experience
- a proven sales record
