Job Summary
Execute day-to-day operations within company guidelines as directed by senior rig personnel. Participate in repairing, maintaining, cleaning, and operating rig equipment under the close supervision of the Driller. Perform tasks other than those specified when required by the Rig Manager. Read, write, and speak English to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions. Stay alert and attentive for up to 12 or more hours a day to make safe decisions. Wear personal protective equipment including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hard hats, and approved respiratory devices. Perform work outside with prolonged exposure to hot, cold, wet, or damp conditions. Work 14 days on and 14 days off or 20 on/10 off schedules including holidays, weekends, and nights.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to stay alert and attentive for up to 12 or more hours a day
- Ability to make safe decisions and use proper judgment
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to perform work outside with prolonged exposure to the environment, both hot and cold
- Ability to work in rain, snow, and sleet
- Ability to have reliable transportation
- Ability to arrive on time to the assigned worksite
- Ability to work 14 days on and 14 days off
- Ability to work 20 on /10 off
- Ability to work holidays
- Ability to work weekends
- Ability to work days and/or nights
