Floorhand - South and East Texas

Floorhand position in Victoria, TX for Patterson-UTI with entry-level responsibilities supporting Motorhand, Derrickhand, and Driller in day-to-day rig operations. Duties include general maintenance and cleaning of the rig and drilling floor, checking rig/equipment, assisting in drilling activities, making drill pipe connections and tripping pipe, rig moves (rig-up/rig-down), assisting with maintenance and preparation at new locations, inspecting equipment, handling tubulars, and supporting safety practices. Requires ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk long shifts (up to 12 hours), work at heights (50 ft+), climb stairs, communicate in English, and follow verbal/written instructions. Willingness to travel to remote locations on a 14-on/14-off rotational schedule, work outdoors in varied weather, and complete classroom training and pre-employment testing (drug/alcohol checks). Candidates should have 6 months rig-experience (or 1 year for new to industry) and high school diploma/GED; forklift certification and well-control certifications are preferred. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and independence during downtime.
