Job Summary
Floorhand on oil and gas wells responsible for operating mud pump, pipe handling (latch/unlatch tubing), and derrick-related tasks; assists with rigging up/down the workover rig, loading/off-loading pipe, and performs equipment maintenance. Works with a crew to meet production and cost targets, reports incidents to Rig Supervisor or Foreman, and trains crew in derrick operations. Requires basic computer skills, safety compliance, ability to work in fast-paced environments, and willingness to work overtime and participate in on-call rotations. Must have a high school diploma or GED and be legally authorized to work in the United States; CDL is a plus in some locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Pre-employment drug test and background check
- Possess a valid driver’s license; CDL may be required in some locations
- Overtime willingness and on-call rotation
- Certifications from trade schools or professional organizations are preferred
- Able to pass background checks
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Experience or knowledge with oil and gas facilities equipment preferred
