Job Summary
Floor Time Player (Behavior Technician) to provide 1:1 developmental and behavioral support to children using floor-time play-based, relationship-centered approaches. Responsibilities include implementing BCBA-designed treatment goals, engaging in floor-time sessions to promote communication, social skills, and emotional regulation, collecting accurate data, following behavior intervention strategies, collaborating with supervisors, parents, and clinical staff, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality, and participating in team meetings and ongoing training. Ideal candidates have experience as a BT/RBT or study in OT/SLP/Nursing/Psychology/Education/Child Development, enjoy play-based approaches, and possess strong communication skills. Training opportunities include RBT training; flexible scheduling is available. Location: Highland Park, NJ (onsite).
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Behavior Technician, RBT, or equivalent hands-on experience working with children
- Enrollment in/experience with related fields: OT, SLP, Nursing, Psychology, Education, Child Development
- Ability to follow clinical guidance and accept feedback
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, patient, and comfortable engaging in active floor-based play
