Job Summary
Clean, maintain, and restore hard-surface flooring and carpeting throughout the facility by stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing. Operate floor-care equipment including buffers, scrubbers, carpet extractors, and vacuums while performing routine cleaning and spot treatments. Follow established schedules and infection-control procedures, properly handle chemicals, and maintain equipment. Assist the housekeeping team with additional duties to ensure resident rooms, hallways, and common areas remain presentable.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to safely lift, bend, push, pull, and remain active throughout the shift
- Willingness to follow safety, infection-control, and facility procedures
- A respectful and compassionate attitude toward residents and coworkers
Desired Qualifications
- Previous floor-care, housekeeping, janitorial, or maintenance experience preferred
- Experience operating commercial floor-care equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
