Job Summary
Maintain facility floor cleanliness and safety by performing routine sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and refinishing of various surfaces. Operate and maintain floor care equipment including auto-scrubbers, buffers, and burnishers while inspecting units before and after use. Execute carpet and upholstery cleaning with extraction equipment and manage cleaning solution refills and equipment logs. Adhere to all safety procedures, PPE usage, and chemical handling guidelines while reporting malfunctions or hazards to management. Support additional duties such as restroom detailing and entrance cleaning as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, and burnishers
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to cleaning equipment
- Ability to use two-way radio communication when required
- Must have a reliable smartphone as a condition of employment for timekeeping, employee portal access, and company communications
- Ability to read and understand basic written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using standard units of measurement
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple written or verbal instructions
- Ability to lift between 35 and 50 pounds and push or pull loads ranging from 35 to 75 pounds
- Must be able to stand or walk for 6 to 8 hours per shift
- Must be able to frequently stoop, kneel, crawl, and bend during cleaning operations
- Must be able to occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat for short periods
- Must be able to maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
- Must be able to follow assigned cleaning schedules and operational procedures
- Must be able to ensure proper care and use of cleaning equipment
- Must be able to maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment
- Must be able to follow company policies, procedures, and customer site requirements
