Job Summary
Perform assigned floor care functions including waxing, stripping, buffing, and maintenance of tile, carpet, and brick flooring. Operate motorized cleaning equipment, utilize appropriate chemicals and supplies, and maintain daily upkeep of the assigned area. Comply with safety rules, stop risk behaviors, and report hazards while wearing required personal protective equipment. Fill in during staff shortages in custodial, recycle, or maintenance and support shift leads with punch-list items. Work Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm at $17.00–$18.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Complete all safety and task training certification
- May be required to be forklift certified
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 6 mo-1 year experience preferred: or equivalent combination of education and experience
