Job Summary
Conduct floor care functions including waxing, stripping, buffing, and maintenance of tile, carpet, and brick flooring. Operate motorized cleaning equipment and chemicals while maintaining a clean work area and complying with safety rules. Fill in during staff shortages in custodial, recycle, or maintenance roles and support shift leads with punch-list items. Lift up to 35 pounds and use personal protective equipment as required. Work Wednesday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM at $16.50 per hour. No supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
- Ability to work without normal supervision
- Willingness to share knowledge with team
Desired Qualifications
- 6 mo-1 year experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Forklift certification
