Job Summary
Perform floor care functions including waxing, stripping, buffing, and maintenance of tile, carpet, and brick flooring. Operate and maintain motorized cleaning equipment while utilizing appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure. Comply with safety rules, stop risk behaviors, and report hazards. Maintain clean work areas and fill in during staff shortages in custodial, recycle, or maintenance. Work with team members to complete assignments and punch-list items. Shifts run Sun-Thur 5pm-1:30am with hourly pay of $16.10-$17.10. Valid driver's license and forklift certification may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Complete all safety and task training certification
- May be required to be forklift certified
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 6 mo-1 year experience preferred: or equivalent combination of education and experience
