Job Summary
Perform floor care functions including waxing, stripping, buffing, and maintenance of tile, carpet, and brick flooring. Operate motorized cleaning equipment and chemicals according to procedures while maintaining a clean work area. Comply with safety rules, stop risk behaviors, and report hazards. Fill in during staff shortages in custodial, recycle, or maintenance areas. Support shift leads with punch-list items and maintain professional communication with customers and supervisors. Requires 6 months to 1 year of experience, a valid driver's license, and forklift certification. Monday-Friday shifts from 5:00 am to 1:30 am at $18.00-$19.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Complete all safety and task training certification
- May be required to be forklift certified
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 6 mo-1 year experience preferred: or equivalent combination of education and experience
