Job Summary
Perform daily floor care functions including waxing, stripping, buffing, and maintenance of tile, carpet, and brick flooring. Operate and maintain motorized cleaning equipment while utilizing appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure. Comply with safety rules, stop risk behaviors, and report hazards using proper personal protective equipment. Fill in during staff shortages in custodial, recycle, or maintenance areas and support shift leads with punch-list items. Work Monday through Friday from 5pm to 10pm at $16.00-$17.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Complete all safety and task training certification
- May be required to be forklift certified
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 6 mo-1 year experience preferred: or equivalent combination of education and experience
