Job Summary
Perform floor care functions including waxing, stripping, buffing, and maintenance of tile, carpet, and brick flooring. Operate motorized cleaning equipment and maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas while utilizing appropriate chemicals and supplies. Comply with safety rules, stop risk behaviors, and report hazards. Fill in during staff shortages in custodial, recycle, or maintenance roles. Support shift leads with punch-list items and maintain a clean work area. Work Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 11:00pm earning $15–$16 an hour. Valid driver's license and forklift certification may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Complete all safety and task training certification
- May be required to be forklift certified
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 6 mo-1 year experience preferred: or equivalent combination of education and experience
