Job Summary
Perform a variety of cleaning duties to ensure the facility physical environment meets established standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and infection control. Maintain the cleanliness of floors and furniture using various cleaning equipment and chemicals while adhering to all safety standards. Communicate effectively with hospital staff and understand written instructions. Prioritize tasks, make independent decisions when circumstances warrant, and project a professional image. Requires two years of housekeeping experience or a high school diploma, with one year in healthcare preferred. Full-time day shift with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401K matching.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience as a housekeeper
- Verbal ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff
- Ability to write and understand written instructions
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of housekeeping experience
- Previous healthcare housekeeping experience
- Ability to project a professional image
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions
