Job Summary
The Floor Technician Helper assists with maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of facility flooring. Under the direction of a Floor Technician or Supervisor, the role supports floor care operations by performing cleaning, polishing, buffing, stripping, waxing, sealing, and other floor maintenance activities. Responsibilities include preparing work areas, applying finishes, inspecting for hazards, following safety procedures and PPE usage, assisting with custodial duties as needed, maintaining supplies, operating floor care equipment, submitting shift reports, and communicating maintenance concerns to a supervisor. Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, frequent standing/motion, and a valid driver’s license for potential travel between locations. Schedule is primarily Monday–Friday evenings with potential weekend work; benefits include health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plan.
