Floor Technician - Full Time Days

Job Summary
Floor Technician responsible for maintenance, appearance, and safety of floor surfaces throughout the hospital. Performs stripping, waxing, polishing, and deep cleaning of floors (VCT, terrazzo, tile, carpet) using auto-scrubbers, high-speed burnishers, buffers, and carpet extractors. Executes daily/rotational floor maintenance schedules, coordinates with Environmental Services and clinical teams to minimize disruption, and supports safety/signage protocols. Requires Indiana driver's license and proof of insurance; must pass a floor care competency assessment; able to operate floor care equipment; able to stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs. This role is full-time with Sunday-Thursday shifts (5am-1pm) at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
Required Qualifications
- Indiana driver's license and proof of insurance
- Ability to pass floor care competency assessment
- Must be able to operate floor care equipment (auto-scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, carpet extractors)
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience (preferred)
- Ability to stand for extended periods, flexibility to lift 50 lbs or more as needed
