Job Summary
Monitor assigned areas and corridors for cups, spills, paper, and debris, then clean all corners, edges, and baseboards. Dust mop hard floors, removing marks and scuffs, followed by damp mopping with proper chemicals or scrubbing machines. Utilize floor machines for project work, including burningish, scrubbing, and stripping floors as directed. Perform related duties such as "Area Cleaner" and "Waste Disposal Technician" tasks as required. Work the 2nd shift (5p-1:30a) Monday through Friday at UMH Sparrow in Lansing, MI, earning an hourly rate of $17.04. This role supports Xanitos' mission to improve cleaning quality and reduce hospital costs through efficient facility maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Must be able to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to talk or hear
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to frequently climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to be exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- Must be able to wear special clothing or safety equipment due to possible exposure to chemicals
