Job Summary
Perform cleaning, buffing, and bonneting procedures to maintain floors while executing stripping and extraction projects as assigned. Adhere strictly to HHS cleaning procedures and best practices, providing friendly service to patients in a hospital environment. Assist team members and management to ensure efficient departmental operations. This role requires standing, walking, and lifting equipment up to 100 lb. continuously throughout evening shifts, with full-time and part-time options available across day, evening, and night schedules. Background checks, drug screens, and proof of employment eligibility are required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Communicate effectively in English
- Work well in a team environment
- Must practice good personal hygiene
- Be neatly groomed
- Be in uniform
- Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and reach continuously throughout a shift
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift furniture and equipment (25 – 100 lb.) frequently
- Must be able to push and pull carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
- Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants
- Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
- Applicants must pass a background check
- Applicants must pass a drug screen
- Must provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption in place
Desired Qualifications
- Floor Tech experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare)
