Job Summary
Perform waxing, stripping, buffing, and polishing of commercial floors, tile, and carpets while adhering to chemical procedures and safety protocols. Operate floor care equipment effectively and report hazards as needed. Maintain company dress code and represent the organization professionally during all shifts. Work three weeks monthly from 6:00 PM to 3:30 AM and one week from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM in warehouse-based settings, with occasional weekend availability. Requires strong physical stamina for extended standing, lifting 25 pounds, and repetitive tasks. High school diploma and one year of floor technician experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Night Shifts with a flexible schedule, including some weekends, varying shift times, and occasional long hours
- Strong desire to learn and grow in the field of Floor Care
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of floor technician experience
- Flexible availability (days, weekends, on call)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented and meticulous
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Must always maintain a strong awareness of safety and proactive leadership approach
- Must be able to pass a Background Check
- Must be able to pass Drug Test
- Must be in good physical condition and able to comfortably perform extended periods of walking, standing, bending, stooping, and lifting
- Ability to lift, carry, and move 25 pounds or more on a regular basis
- Capable of working on your feet for long periods and performing repetitive physical tasks
- Ability to operate floor care equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Adhere to dress code such wearing company uniform
- Report to work in a timely manner
- Always represent the organization in a positive and professional manner
- Comply with all company policies and standard procedures
