Job Summary
The Floor Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining floors and carpets, including using various cleaning machines such as wet vacs, buffers, and extractors. Essential duties include sweeping, mopping, detailing, and ensuring adherence to safety and cleaning protocols. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, prior experience in floor care or custodial work, and physical abilities to manage equipment and perform tasks efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand or walk continuously for long periods of time
- Ability to go up and down stairs
- Ability to reach above the head, bend, kneel, stoop
- Ability to operate controls
- Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50 lbs. regularly and 75 – 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to work in dusty spaces or adverse weather conditions
- Ability to see details on the floor or on surfaces
- Ability to follow directions and focus on tasks
- Ability to report problems or relate information
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to attend work regularly according to assigned schedule and company policies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as required
- Ability to deal with others in a positive, enthusiastic, respectful, and courteous manner
- Ability to understand and comply with safety procedures and environmental requirements
