Job Summary
Maintain all facility floors by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing, and buffing throughout the long-term care nursing home. Operate various equipment including extractors, auto-scrapers, high-speed buffers, shop vacs, steam machines, and side-to-side buffers, ensuring all tools remain in good working condition and are stored properly after use. Dispose of all garbage throughout the facility and perform other job-related duties as required. Shifts include day and evening rotations with alternating weekends and holidays. High school diploma or GED required; environmental services or healthcare experience preferred. Walk-ins welcome at Foothill Acres Nursing Center in Hillsborough, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to operate automatic floor scrubbing machines and floor buffers
Desired Qualifications
- Environmental Services or housekeeping experience a plus
- Prior experience working in a nursing home, hospital or healthcare environment a plus
