Job Summary
Deliver excellent team service and hospitality while overseeing staff training on service standards. Manage staffing, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring needs to maintain proper loss prevention, cash handling, and deposit procedures. Ensure all service and hospitality standards are met and continually improved across the restaurant floor. Maintain exemplary product knowledge of food and beverage, sanitation laws, and safety protocols including OpenTable and Aloha systems. This role reports to the Assistant General Manager at the LaSalle Street Cable Car Powerhouse in Chicago, a landmark building currently undergoing restoration.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience running some of the best restaurant floors in Chicago.
- Experience launching and opening restaurants in Chicago and the US.
- Comfortable and experienced with high volume businesses in terms of both covers and revenue.
- Excellent floor management and supervisory skills.
- Good under pressure.
- Ability to create an incredible culture and work ethic within your team.
- Exemplary product knowledge of food and beverage.
- Excellent leadership skills with ability to teach, coach and train all FOH employees.
- Experience in all Chicago Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Practices and Standards.
