Job Summary
Transport custodial supplies and equipment to work areas, then strip, clean, and refinish hard surfaces while extracting or shampooing soft surfaces with appropriate chemicals. Perform detailed cleaning of baseboards, corners, and elevator tracks, and conduct maintenance on floor machines, vacuums, and upholstery equipment. Report equipment problems, transport furniture as directed, and complete required certifications including the in-house Floor Care Maintenance Certification. Work Monday through Friday from 5 pm to 1:30 am with rotating weekends, lifting up to 100 pounds while complying with safety regulations for hazardous substances.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) to two (2) years of floor finishing experience
- Experience with housekeeping-related equipment operations
- Previous Environmental Services experience in a hospital/hotel environment
