Job Summary
Prepare and maintain the live studio for evening newscasts, keeping track of broadcast cues and talent positions. Assist guests with microphone and equipment while moving and positioning multiple studio cameras and set pieces. Modify lighting panels for special events and perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the studio space. Maintain a safe environment by managing trip hazards and set safety protocols. Guide guests from standby locations to on-air interviews and support operations by assisting Engineering, News, and other departments. Work Monday through Friday from 3:45p to 11:45p with overtime possibilities and potential weekend or holiday shifts.
Required Qualifications
- experience in a live studio environment
- familiar with the logistical and operational aspects of video, audio, and lighting systems
- great attention to detail
- punctuality
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in a live production environment as a support crew
- Live video or audio experience
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to stand for multiple hours at a time
- Usage of a headset for the duration of live production
- Availability for weekends or holidays
- Must be able to work any shift including weekends or holidays
