Job Summary
Prepare surfaces for flooring installation by cleaning, grinding, and repairing as needed. Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered before applying epoxy coatings, urethane systems, polished concrete finishes, and other industrial flooring applications according to project specifications. Use appropriate tools and equipment to ensure smooth, uniform, and high-quality application, then conduct quality inspections to verify durability, adhesion, and long-term integrity. Inspect and repair damaged or worn floor coverings when required, while following safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment. Provide excellent customer service and address client questions or concerns. Occasional shifts and weekend work may be required for this full-time position in the GTA.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary School Diploma
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Flooring Installer
- Proficiency in surface preparation techniques, including grinding and patching
- Knowledge of epoxy coatings and application methods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines
- Experience operating flooring equipment and tools safely and efficiently
- Occasional shifts and weekend work
