Job Summary
Perform housekeeping and related activities in patient exam rooms, inpatient areas, surgery suites, utilities, and the general hospital environment. Continuously demonstrate proficiency in basic cleaning skills for patient, staff, office, clinic, and visitor areas while safely using chemicals, equipment, and infection control methods to maintain established quality standards. Competently handle and remove medical and hazardous waste to ensure the physical environment meets the highest levels of cleanliness from both appearance and infection control standpoints. Requires full-time employment (2080 hours) with a specific 8:00 a.m. start time.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- One year of previous institutional cleaning experience, preferably in a hospital or hospitality environment
- One year customer service experience
- Vocational training and certificate
