Job Summary
Perform daily floor care and environmental services including operating commercial scrubbers, carpet extractors, and buffers to clean vinyl, tile, hardwood, and carpet surfaces. Strip, wax, buff, and polish floors while executing spot removal, upholstery cleaning, and biohazard clean-up. Transport, load, and unload equipment and supplies, assist with room moves and emergency cleaning, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Safely handle chemicals per SDS guidelines and collaborate with Environmental Services, Housekeeping, and Nursing teams. Provide professional customer service to residents, families, and coworkers while supporting Resthaven's mission in a senior living environment. No mandatory overtime; full-time role from 7am to 3pm.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to safely operate and transport floor care equipment
- Possess close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision with the ability to adjust focus
- Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, climb stairs, push, pull, and lift
- Lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds, including furniture and equipment
- Operate commercial cleaning and floor care equipment safely
- Possess the ability to safely handle and dispose of chemicals while following Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements and manufacturer guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Three (3) or more years of floor care, commercial cleaning, janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or environmental services experience
- Experience with commercial floor equipment, carpet cleaning, or facility maintenance
- Previous experience in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, schools, or commercial facilities
- Knowledge of floor stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, carpet extraction, and floor maintenance techniques
