Job Summary
Maintain highways, drainage structures, and streams through snow removal, heavy equipment operation, and asphalt or concrete installation. Perform landscaping duties including lawn mowing, tree pruning, and sprinkler repairs while clearing debris from roadways and stream channels. Operate traffic warning signs, cones, and barricades to ensure safety during all maintenance activities. Comply with OSHA and MUTCD regulations, attend flagging training recertification, and pass mandatory drug testing. Requires a valid Utah driver's license and Class B CDL.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Driver's License accepted by the State of Utah
- A Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at the time of hire OR obtain the Class B CDL within ninety (90) days of hire date
- A current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card
- Flagging training and recertification every two (2) years
- A Defensive Driving course
- A verified negative test result on a mandatory drug test
- Subject to random alcohol and drug testing
- Subject to post accident and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing
