Job Summary
Process transactions for savings, checking, and loan accounts while opening new deposit accounts and handling services like stop payments and wire transfers. Serve as a single point of contact for customer financial needs by identifying expectations, resolving complaints, and expanding relationships through referrals. Balance transactions daily, maintain a neat work area, and ensure compliance with all banking regulations including Regulation CC and the Bank Secrecy Act. Develop customer familiarity with self-service technology options and assist in guiding new tellers. Float to different offices in the area to accommodate staffing needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Cash handling experience
- Sales experience
- Customer service experience
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations
- Must be able to identify customers
- Must be able to travel to come to meetings or training as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Previous banking experience
- One year of teller or cash handling experience
- Six months customer relationship building or sales experience
- Demonstrated expertise in the Teller II and basic FSR job functions
