Job Summary
Senior-level, floating Community Manager role responsible for guiding operations at Northland communities across a portfolio. Leads day-to-day operations, drives execution of business plans, hires and develops staff, ensures leasing activity and occupancy growth, oversees financial management and compliance, and adapts strategies across markets during assignments typically 3 to 18 months. Travel and on-site presence required to support high-priority assets undergoing refinance, disposition, value-add initiatives, or performance improvements. Must demonstrate strong leadership, communication with residents and stakeholders, and the ability to operate across diverse communities while maintaining policy adherence and operational consistency.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of multifamily management experience including direct supervision of employees and external contractors
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively and reside temporarily at assigned communities for extended periods (typically 3 to 18 months)
- Ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize systems including Microsoft Office, Yardi, and other property management applications
- Ability to advertise, market, lease, and promote Northland and its communities across diverse markets and audiences
- Strong supervisory skills in overseeing employees and contract service providers
- Ability to frequently walk the community to oversee all activities and areas of operation
- Strong judgment and critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently
- Ability to set and revise priorities based on workload and business needs
