Job Summary
Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by greeting patrons, answering phones, and escorting shoppers to products. Fill and verify prescriptions while counseling patients in accordance with OBRA '90 regulations. Manage pharmacy inventory, including controlled substances, by ordering, stocking merchandise, and performing annual checks. Assist with reconciliation of third-party accounts and visit schools, doctors' offices, and senior centers to market services. Assume responsibility for the department in the manager's absence and ensure compliance with security and regulatory procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Professional License/Certification
- College degree and licensure in pharmacy
- Continuing education to maintain license
- Six months to a year of similar or related work experience
- Ability to do logical or scientific thinking to solve problems
- Ability to do arithmetic calculations involving arithmetic, algebraic and geometric calculations
- Ability to compose original correspondence
- Ability to follow technical manuals
- Ability to have increased contact with people
- Ability to interview counsel or advise people
- Ability to evaluate technical data
- Ability to physically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to physically exert 10 pounds of force frequently
- Vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction
