Floating Nurse - District wide

Floating School Nurse provides daily medical care across Hanover Community School Corporation’s five schools, rotating between a high school, a middle school, and three elementary schools. The nurse floats on an established schedule to cover schools as needed, assisting with hearing and vision screenings, health education, medication management, and referrals for higher levels of care. Responsibilities include dispensing medications per board policy, participating in case conferences and Section 504 meetings to plan student care, and serving as a role model with professional communication and organizational skills. The role is full-time and dependent on education and experience.
